From Grassroots Vision to Statewide Movement
Restoration of the Dignity of Womanhood (ROTDOW) emerged in 2008 from a profound commitment to address systemic neglect, high maternal mortality rates, child labor, and gender-based violence affecting vulnerable populations in Ondo State, Nigeria.
Formally incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/NO 56691) in 2012, ROTDOW quickly established itself as a trusted civil society partner. By combining grassroots community mobilization with rigorous technical execution, ROTDOW has built sustainable bridges between healthcare institutions, traditional community leaders, and international development agencies.

Major operational breakthroughs and partnership expansions over the years.
Inception & Grassroots Emergence
Founded as a community-based intervention initiative to advocate for vulnerable women and children, address maternal health gaps, and combat domestic violence in underserved urban and peri-urban settlements in Akure.
Formal CAC Incorporation & Institutional Structure
Officially incorporated under Part C of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAC/IT/NO 56691). Established a structured Board of Trustees, formal program units, and standard administrative governance.
Health Alliances & Child Protection Coalitions
Expanded partnerships with IHVN, ACOMIN, and ODSACA for Malaria prevention and HIV/AIDS counseling. Joined and assumed leadership roles in the Child Protection Network (CPN), NACTAL, and AONN to protect Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC).
Child Labor Eradication in Agricultural Supply Chains
Selected as strategic implementing partner for ILO ACCEL Africa (Phase I) and ACLAWA. Re-enrolled hundreds of out-of-school cocoa farming children into formal education, established SCREAM Clubs, and conducted OSH WIND agricultural safety trainings.
Maternal Health Expansion & State Leadership
Partnered with Jhpiego (AMPLI-PPHI) on Postpartum Hemorrhage prevention and Vitamin Angels on Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) and Vitamin A distribution. Assumed State Coordination roles for CS-SUNN, CSO-ECM, and UN Women GEWE.
Digital Health Reporting & Social Protection Digitization
Integrated DHIS2 and ODK mobile field reporting across 18 LGAs. Supporting the Ondo State Government under USDOL/GALAB to expand and digitize the State Social Register for vulnerable cocoa farming households.
